Carechem 24

What does Carechem 24 provide?

Carechem 24 provides your caller with rapid (and friendly) access to information about the hazards of your products, together with expert advice on appropriate response actions to protect the public and the environment.  Thanks to the prompt provision of expert advice, the length of time taken to deal with an emergency can be reduced significantly. This potentially helps reduce the operation cost of an incident and associated organisational downtime as well as reducing your risk of litigation and minimising clean-up costs after an incident.

Reliable 24/7 service

Unlike some other services reliant on a mobile phone or an answering machine, you will always reach one of our Responders at our dedicated operation centre. They work in shifts, 24/7, so you can always rely on expert advice at any time of the day or night.  Our operations centre has full failover/failsafe capability giving you the peace of mind we are always here to answer a call.

Dedicated emergency telephone number(s)

We provide you with dedicated numbers for use on Safety Data Sheets, labels, Hazchem placards, shipping documentation, management procedures and loading/unloading sites. Depending on the territories you require cover in we have a global suite of telephone numbers available to help meet legislation around local numbers and provide your customers with a number most appropriate for them.

Worldwide Multilingual Service

Carechem 24 International is our 24-hour, 365-day-a-year telephone chemical advice service with the benefit of a global multilingual capability. We cover Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas with the multilingual service. Emergency calls received by NCEC are handled in the language of the caller.

To reduce any delay in giving you the advice you need, NCEC's Emergency Responders use live translation services so there is no need to disconnect the call. Our Emergency Responders are all experienced chemists who are trained in Emergency Response. The team has the necessary training and experience to handle a range of chemical emergencies from simple first aid advice to major incidents.

We speak the caller’s language

For example: If your products are carried by a Polish haulier and are involved in a transport incident in France, we are able to provide live translated advice to the driver in Polish as well as advice to the local Emergency Services in French.
