What does CSE Stand for?

CSE Stands for "Carriage Labels, Supply Labels and Exposure Limits".

 

What is CSE?

CSE is an online tool that provides you with quick, easy access to a range of chemical related information and legislation such as ADR Dangerous Goods List, Approved Supply List and the EH40 List.

 

What is CSE used for?

Our existing customers use CSE for a wide array of daily tasks such as authoring or checking SDS (Safety Data Sheets), COSHH assesments, risk assesments, transport legislation compliance, supply legislation compliance, classifying chemicals, document checking, product checking and health and safety such as exposure limits.

 

Who uses CSE?

Anyone who needs to carry out tasks outlined above, this would include: DGSAs (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors), haulage companies, SDS authors, health and safety managers, laboratory staff and anyone else that may deal with chemicals in their working environment.

 

How much does it cost?

£250 per year (excluding VAT) for one user.  This is a fixed annual price including free updates with no hidden costs.

 

How do I know the information is current?

Annual subscription included free updates. NCEC will keep all your legislative information up to date for you!

How to I access CSE once I have subscribed?

CSE is an online application which means it is avaliable from any web broswer worldwide.  Simply log in to your account and have instant access.

 

How do I search the CSE Database?

It couldn't be easier; simply search by chemical name (common names and synonyms included), UN number, CAS number, EC number or ASL Annexe number.  This will present you with a list of likely matches prioritising them by relevance. 

 

How do I access the data?

Once you have searched for the data, simply click on the relevant symbol (for ADR, ASL or EH40) and this will bring up all the legislative data you need.

 

Can I export the data?

Yes, you can can easily export the data using the eport data facility within the application.

 

How do I interpret the codes given in the legislation?

CSE makes interpretation of legislative codes easy; simply hover the mouse over the code and text will appear to clarify the code.  For Example: If you hover your mouse over 'HIN: 336' for the ADR list, the appearing text will state '336: Highly flammable liquid, toxic.'
