What are the hazards of the chemical you work with?As the UK’s National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC) we deal with chemical emergencies on a daily basis. NCEC has recognised that many people are unaware of the hazards posed by the chemicals they are regularly dealing with and panic when things go wrong.
NCEC provide set courses as well as bespoke training to meet your needs. All of these courses are designed to keep you and others safe when coming into contact with chemicals.
1st Response TrainingCan you provide the Emergency Services with the information they need during a chemical incident? This course is designed by NCEC, CIA and leading Hazmat experts from both Fire and Police Services and has been continuously developed since 1997

Give your staff the confidence to work with the Emergency Services to deal with a chemical incident

We can help you:
Improve your chemical health and safety by expanding your understanding of chemicals
Interpret hazards and risk
Understand chemical documents (placards, safety data sheets, labels etc)

We can help you:

Determine whether you have the correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
Use PPE correctly
(NOTE: If you have no PPE then we have an option for it to be supplied)
There is also the option to discuss both on and off-site emergency planning and whether you are doing enough to meet the requirements of COMAH. (http://www.hse.gov.uk/comah/)
