NCEC’s Hazmat conference has proved to be the ultimate forum for hazmat professionals to gain knowledge and share experiences with like-minded professionals working in the chemical incident industries.

Through feedback we have received from many of the regular Hazmat delegates, we know that the annual event was sorely missed this year.

That is why we have decided to hold this virtual alternative to the annual conference. The focus of this summit will be the impact of and recovery from COVID-19  – including lessons learnt and best practice for hazmat training.

We will be joined by Professor Rob Chilcott, (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive materials (CBRNE) and toxicology expert), who will be speaking on ‘How the effectiveness of respiratory protective equipment is dependent on the test method used’. NCEC's Ed Sullivan, hazmat expert and ex-fire and rescue service officer, will give a presentation on ‘Best practices for hazmat training and how it’s changing in light of COVID-19’. We will be announcing a third speaker soon so please keep a look out!

Following the presentations, we will also facilitate a networking area where you will be able to visit virtual rooms and catch up with colleagues or ask our experts any hazmat related questions. For UK delegates, we will send free refreshments for networking  if you book your place by 1 October 2020.

If you work in the hazmat industry and are keen to discuss how the pandemic is affecting present and future hazmat incident response, this event is for you. The delegate rate is just £50+VAT.
