China announces recommended standards for transportation of dangerous goods
13 May 2021

The first of its kind in China, the Emergency Response Guideline for Transportation of Dangerous Goods has been created by number of industry associations and organisations including the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) and NCEC’s partner in China, REACH24H.

The guideline is a series of recommended standards specifying the requirement for emergency response for transportation where dangerous goods are involved and will enable organisations to follow best practice to reduce the impact of these incidents. The standards will come into effect from 1 November 2021.

The guidelines were approved by State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration on 30 April 2021 and the full text of the guidance will be released shortly.

NCEC will explain what these guidelines mean for organisations transporting dangerous goods in China in due course. For further updates, please sign up through the form on right hand side or contact us at [email protected].
