Hazmat Academy announces its 2022 emergency response course schedule
21 February 2022

The Hazmat Academy is offering more free resources and expanding the range of available training during 2022.

Since its launch, NCEC’s training platform has provided hazmat training to more than 800 learners with bespoke and off-the-shelf courses, delivered either in person, via distance learning or a combination of both.
The academy’s clients range from one of the top private sector spill response organisations in the UK to public sector government bodies. The team continues to work with each client to support their continuous learning and development.
The team is working to provide more free tools as well as increasing the range of courses available to continue working towards the goal of helping responders be safe, effective, competent and confident during their response to a hazmat incident.
The following schedule has been announced for this year’s emergency response courses:

  • Hazardous materials adviser initial: 4 April, 27 June, 5 September and 21 November

  • Hazardous materials first responder: 23 May

  • Hazardous materials instructor: 12 September

  • Hazardous materials adviser revalidation: 7 November

All courses are accredited by the International Organisation for Industrial Emergency Services Management (JOIFF) and the hazmat courses are delivered in partnership with the Fire Service College.
The academy's distance learning courses are available to book all year around. You can find out more about the hazmat and chemical training courses through their website.
