NCEC announces global media partnership with MDM publishing

NCEC, the chemical experts of Ricardo, has selected MDM Publishing to be the global media partner for its training platform, Hazmat Academy.

NCEC’s Hazmat Academy has revolutionised hazardous material (hazmat) training by providing a contemporary solution that meets the needs of individuals, while taking into consideration the modern-day operational and training challenges being faced by Category 1 response organisations.

Through this new partnership, the Hazmat Academy’s specialists will share their expertise across MDM Publishing's five world-leading titles (International Fire Fighter, Asia Pacific Fire, Gulf Fire, UK Fire and International Fire Protection) and websites to assist members of the fire and safety industry globally to develop a safe, effective, competent and confident response to an incident.

Commenting on the partnership announcement David Staddon, MDM Director, said: ‘I am delighted that we are now able to formally announce our agreement with the Hazmat Academy to become its global media partner. We have been working with the NCEC for many years as media partners to their annual Hazmat conference and this new partnership will provide the Hazmat Academy with an extended reach through our print magazines and websites.’

Ed Sullivan, Hazmat Academy Manager, said: ‘NCEC has been supporting Category 1 response organisations since 1973. Our mission is to ensure that anyone responding to incidents involving hazardous materials can do so safely, effectively, competently and confidently. We are delighted to be partnering with MDM Publishing, media leaders in the fire and safety industry, as the relationship will enable us to reach many more responders and support them with their hazmat training requirements.’
