How to improve your REACH dossier quality before ECHA challenges it

24 Jan 2023

{

Maintaining up-to-date dossiers is a legal obligation under EU REACH. Under the REACH Evaluation Joint Action Plan compliance checks are going to increase from 5% to 20% in each tonnage band, representing 30% of all registered chemicals. By 2027, ECHA will have screened all registration dossiers submitted by the 2018 deadline.

Cefic members are proactively reassessing and updating the data in their dossiers. If you are an EU manufacturer/importer or a Cefic member, this webinar is for you.

Complete the form below to access the on-demand webinar, where our regulatory experts will explore:

  • Progress made in dossier and substance evaluation within the REACH and Cefic Joint Action Plan.
  • General data requirements for joint and lead registration dossiers in IUCLID.
  • How to avoid common errors on registration dossiers and improve your dossier quality.
  • Sections 5 to 7 in IUCLID including environmental fate, ecotoxicity and toxicity data.

Solutions for your business

A proactive approach to dossier compliance means they contain high-quality information, and you reduce your risk of further costs of compliance and regulatory action on your substances. We urge you to start updating your dossiers at the earliest to maintain your market access.

As part of our REACH dossier service, our experts review dossiers to identify and fill data gaps, strengthen justifications for adaptations and establish if all appropriate information has been gathered, reducing the likelihood of ECHA requesting further information. We have extensive experience with standard and non-standard approaches to assessing physicochemical, ecotoxicological and environmental fate endpoints, and can conduct read-across, quantitative structure-activity relationship models (QSARs) and weight-of-evidence approaches to minimise costs and testing.
